  • Can you update our hours?
  • Can you add this event?
  • Here’s a new photo.
  • Can you post our latest announcement?
  • I have this great new idea.

Done.

Most requests are handled within 24 hours.

If you’d prefer to do it yourself, I offer Sveltia CMS to make quick changes from your phone or computer.

A free sample, except it’s your whole website.

Tell me about your project and I’ll send you a prototype at a real, live private link — not a Figma or Photoshop mockup.

You wouldn’t sign off on a logo without seeing what it looks like on a billboard, on a hat, and as a teensy little browser icon. A website is no different. Open it on your phone, show it to your team, your spouse, your dog, and send me your feedback. If you don’t love it, no hard feelings — you can walk away owing nothing at all.

Analytics that are more than numbers on a dashboard.

Every quarter I read yours and write you an email about it, in plain English. Here is one.

Subject Your quarterly read — ridgestreetpottery.com

Hi Dana,

Here’s your read for ridgestreetpottery.com, covering April through June. Feel free to share it.

The site had 4,180 pageviews from about 1,900 visitors.

Besides the homepage, Beginner Wheel Throwing was the most-viewed page with 312 views, and it has been every month since March. Kids’ Summer Camp came second at 244. Studio Rentals took 118, which is a lot for a page with four sentences on it.

People are doing things once they arrive:

  • 261 clicks through to book a class
  • 88 taps on the studio phone number
  • 34 clicks for directions

Google sent 1,104 pageviews. About 70% of your traffic is inside the county, and two-thirds of it is on a phone.

These are privacy-respecting estimates, so they can’t tell me whether anyone finished a booking — only that they left for the booking tool to do it. If you want the rest of that picture I’d need access to the tool itself. Say the word.

One thing worth doing this quarter: Studio Rentals gets steady traffic and has the least on it of any page you have. Send me three sentences and a photo and I’ll build it out.

Thank you,

Cas Kennedy

A sample report. The studio is invented and so are the numbers — the shape is not.

Made with genuine care.

The kind your visitors will notice, even if they never think about why.

Type that sits right. Nothing jumping around while the page loads. A menu that opens the way it should. You are looking at one of these right now, which is the only argument worth making here.

There are no stupid questions, just frequently asked ones.

Is this for a business like mine?

If you sell something, book something, or perform somewhere — yes. I build for small businesses, nonprofits, and performers: a shop, a practice, a company, a person with a name that needs somewhere to live. What they have in common is that they have better things to do than click furiously at Wix. And it makes no difference where you are — I have never met a client in person.

Why not just use Squarespace?

Because Squarespace sells you the tools and then you are the web designer. You pick the template, you fight the layout, you write the words, you crop the photos, and when the hours change on a bank holiday it is still you, at eleven at night, hunting for the right panel. It is cheaper on the invoice and it is not cheaper.

Here you email me and it is done. You do get an editor — it’s a good one and it’s yours — but nobody is handing you an editor and calling that the service. The service is that I built the thing and I keep it working. That is the whole difference, and it is the reason the price is what it is.

Why doesn’t the Cupcake include changes by email?

Because at that price I’d do it badly, and doing it badly is worse than not offering it. The Cupcake is a website you keep current: you get the editor, it’s yours to drive, and I answer questions. The Birthday Cake is a website I keep current, and that difference is most of what the price is.

If you find yourself wishing you could just email me, you’ve outgrown it. Say so and we’ll move you up — there’s no term to wait out.

What do I get?

You get a real website as a free sample at a private link. A website that you can really click, tap, and scroll. I give you a real page because it’s the only way to judge if I’m any good.

How long does the free sample take?

If you have a clear vision, I’d say within 24–72 hours. If you need some help getting there, I’ll help you along.

How do I get the most out of my free sample website?

Email me your existing logo, links to your social media, or your old website. The best case scenario is if you share a Google Doc with me that already has what words you want to put on the website. I’m your tailor, not your writer.

If I have a question, how do I reach you?

You email me. That is the entire support system — no ticket queue, no chatbot, no portal to log into, no support tier to upgrade yourself into first. It reaches me, not a team. From the Birthday Cake up, most requests are handled within 24 hours; on the Cupcake I answer within three business days. I love a client that comes at me with a concept.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, and you don’t have to haggle for them. Nonprofits take 15% off any plan and keep it for the life of the plan. Say so when you write to me and it’s done.

Paying for the year at once gets you two months free — the switch above the prices shows you both ways. That is the whole list. The price on the page is the price, nothing on it expires, and there is nothing to wait for.

What happens if I cancel?

Nothing dramatic, and nothing you have to fight your way out of. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee — email me, and it stops at the end of the period you’ve already paid for. You keep your domain and a clean export of your content, and the site stays up for another 60 days after that, so nothing vanishes the day you change your mind.

Do I own the website?

You own your domain and every word and picture in it. You do not own the code, and that is deliberate: not charging you four thousand dollars before I start is only possible because I keep what I build. If you want it outright, say so and we’ll price it the old way — up front, like everyone else does.

Do you sell online stores?

Yes, from the Birthday Cake up. Products, a cart, a checkout, and it looks like the rest of your site rather than like a widget somebody dropped in. Underneath it’s Stripe, Snipcart, Ecwid, or Shopify — I pick whichever suits what you’re actually selling, set it up, and keep it running. Their transaction fees are theirs. The build and the upkeep are in your monthly price.

Already selling somewhere and happy there? I’ll wire that in instead and style it to match. Either way you don’t administer anything.

Can I change things myself?

Yes. You get Sveltia CMS at your own address, for the things that move — words, prices, hours, dates, photos. You only get the fields I put there, so there’s no layout to wreck and nothing to break. On the Cupcake that is how the plan works. On the Birthday Cake and up it is there and you never have to open it.

From the Birthday Cake there’s also an agent you can chat with in Telegram or Matrix: ask it what changed, ask it to change something, ask how last month went. AI is experimental and it does get things wrong, which is why every version of your site is kept — email me and I’ll roll it back. And emailing me is still the main way in. It always will be.

What if you’re not the right person for my website?

If I’m not the right person to make your website, I’ll tell you. And I’ll point you at someone who is.

Why “Cassiabon”?

I love cinnamon buns.

The terms have the rest, in English.

Let’s see what yours looks like.

It costs nothing to find out.
